This is a preliminary schedule. Please check back often for updated information. We suggest being ready at least 30 minutes before your event is scheduled to begin.
Note: Multi-dance events (Pre-Novice through Championship) will take place during the same time slot as closed syllabus events.

If payment is not postmarked by November 25th competitors will be charged the late registration price upon arrival at the competition.
- A full competition pass allows competitors to compete in all events throughout the day and free admission to the performances and the Intercollegiate Party.
- A social dance pass allows competitors to compete in the eight Nightclub events and free admission to the performances and the Intercollegiate Party.
- A spectator pass allows entry to watch the competition and free admission to the performances and the Intercollegiate Party.
THE ONLY FORMS OF PAYMENT WE ACCEPT ARE CASH OR CHECKS
Please make checks out to Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company (CCBDC). If your name is not already included on the check (or if you're mailing cash), please include your name somewhere in the envelope. All payments should be sent to:

We will send out a confirmation of receipt email when we get your forms and payments. We should send out a confirmation of receipt email no later than 5 business days after you send in your money. If you have questions about whether we've received your payment, please contact treasurer@claremontballroom.org.
Rules and Regulations
Event Policies
- Food or drinks (with the exception of water in spill-proof containers) are not allowed inside the gymnasium. This policy will be strictly enforced.
- The Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company and Pomona College are not liable for any injuries that may occur during the course of this event. All dancers compete at their own risk.
- The Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company and Pomona College are not liable for the loss, theft, or damage of any property during the course of this event. All dancers/attendees are responsible for their own property.
- The Claremont Colleges Ballroom Dance Company reserves the right to cancel and/or reschedule any event.
- Personal cameras and video cameras will be allowed. All dancers/attendees should be aware that they can and may be photographed and/or videotaped while at this event. Everyone attending this event hereby consents to being photographed and/or videotaped while at this event.
- There will be no refunds or exchanges.
- The Judges’ decisions are final.
Eligibility Requirements
- This competition is restricted to amateur dancers.
- The Newcomer category is for dancers who have never competed or have been competing for less than six months. Newcomer dancers are restricted to the Bronze syllabus.
- All Newcomer, Bronze, and Silver events are Closed Syllabus only. Failure to comply with these guidelines will result in immediate disqualification. Please refer to USA Dance for syllabus guidelines.
- All Multi-Dance events are either Closed or Open Syllabus.
- Any individual may compete at their level and one level above (e.g. Silver and Gold Latin or Novice and Pre-Novice Latin).
- Nightclub dances are “anything goes” in the advanced levels (lifts, tricks, etc. are acceptable). Some restrictions apply to beginner levels (see registration form).
Attire and Costumes
- Nice, casual dress is acceptable for spectators at all events.
- No shorts or ripped jeans are allowed for competition.
- All shoes worn by competitors must not have the capacity to damage the gym floor.
- All ladies’ heels must have heel protectors. These may be store-bought heel protectors, suede taped to the heel, a piece of masking or electrical tape, etc.
- Costumes are optional, but not required, at all levels of competition except newcomer. No costumes are allowed in the Newcomer category
